FRENCH MANICURE TUTORIALS FOR BEGINNERS

The following, is the step by step French Pedicure especially for beginners. There's many ways out there teaching you on how to do a perfect french pedicure. But we all know that either the tools to do your own professional french manicure are very costly or they require a lot of skills. Doing a french pedicure at saloon would also not a good alternative especially during the economy downturn and AHINI. So why not try it yourself at home with all these simple tools?

IN THE FOLLOWING I WILL SHOW YOU ON HOW TO DO STEP BY STEP BASIC FRENCH MANICURE/ PEDICURE. IT APPLIES ON BOTH SQUARE TOE AND FINGERNAILS
Before you start trying out the following steps, please read the caution part thoroughly. I'm also pretty amateur at nail art and so you may wanna take the caution steps into consideration before you proceed.

REMEMBER NOT TO START WITH YOUR FINGERNAILS 1ST IF YOU'RE TRYING TO DO THE SAME THING ON YOUR TOES. YOU MAY SIMPLY DIRTY YOU FINGERNAILS IN THE PROCESS... MY ADVICE: START WITH YOUR TOES.
This tutorial only applies to those square toe and fingernails because it is easier to begin with. So shape it square! Btw, don't you notice square nails make you finger looks slender?

1.You would need to prepare the following items:-
  • base coat
  • tape
  • base color
  • top coat
  • white color (according to yr desired color)
  • manicure hand tool
  • temporary stickers (optional)

2. Buff, shape, trim and clean your toenails from dust, dirt and oil

3. Apply base coat on your toenails. Wait for it to dry.

4. Then apply your desired base color. Make sure the color blends well white the second color. Note: make sure it totally dries out!

5. Arrange the tape on your nail at your desired length. Make sure the tape sticks on your nails securely if you don't want to see jagged edge later!

6. Apply the white nail color on the portion of the nails that is not covered by the tape

7. Remove the tape before the white color dries out. Caution:: You may want a little practice on pulling this tape.

8. Decorate you nails according to your creativity. Use a pin instead of buying a professional hand tool to apply your temporary stickers, but its a good investment tough. I think i bought it for around RM5-10 at One Utama some shop stand near TGV

9. Lastly, apply top coat and you're done. Caution:: Apply the top coat lightly. You don't want you hard-worked-manicure to get smudged.
