My 22nd Birthday!

Finally Mel turns 22, last month. I know, I know.... I'd been neglecting this blog awhile, but you see, I'm really busy for the month of March. Alot of exciting and happy stuff happened, which I would summarize in the next entry. Back to topic, I am 22 years old this year.

Looking back, time has really passed very fast. I still remember, 10 years ago, I was wondering what my life would be ahead of me. I thought I would be a little more slender and sexy and Zhao Wei, from Hwang Zhu Ge Ge, after watching too much Ugly Duckling that I would turn into a beautiful swan. I thought I would become a doctor, doing medics in UK/US. And well, life didn't turn out as what I thought I would be. But, that doesn't mean it got worse. I'm a psychology student now and I enjoyed the course and studying at KL alot. Despite the fact that didn't become a beautiful swan, I did become a pretty duckling. I do not have distorted feature and body, which I appreciate alot. I'm leading a healthy life, blessed with many loving friends and family. All in all, I'm contend right now although I didn't grew up becoming what I thought I would 10 years back.

So, on my birthday, Yuna organized a birthday night out for me. To be honest, I was happy and glad they celebrated for me. The food was good and we went to KLPac later on to play guitar and take pictures. One thing that I felt uneasy on my birthday is that someone else is paying for my meal. :[ I'm jz not use to that weird feelings. And yeah, they gave me money as what I told them to, though small amount which I will use to fund my new camera lens.

The Basil Pasta from Plan B, Bangsar Village. Highly recommended!

Pocci, Yenny named cat. I love her adorable eyes...
The tipsy lady!
Back in hometown the next day, Mom, Ms. Yap and Yani brought me to Swiss Garden Kuantan for buffet dinner. We had lotsa fun filled with crazy dares and joke. We ate till we the place was almost close. We were so full that night that we could barely walk. But, the food was really good and I enjoyed it alot. =D

Look at the food art they have at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuantan

How am I lately?

It's been a while since I last blogged (as usual) ..., well, just a update for you or me what has been happenning lately is:-
1. currently busy preparing for exams
2. lookin forward to Redang trip
3. going to Austrilia in July
4. going to Vietnam in August
5. planning a trip for Boon Boon

---------------------------

Seriously la dude.. Don't you think I'd been travelling excessively lately? Not to mentioned I just went to China and Bali earlier this year... KAy.... Not boasting here. But, just to say I'm quite contented. Actually, this is the kinda life that I dreamed of. To travel, to broaden my worldview, to learn and to explore....

One thing I like most about travellin is tryin the local food that. Haiz, anyone who knows me would know how crazy I am for food. Just the exotic-ness of the food could make me droollss.... Yum! Just to give you a little 'taste' of what kinda special food I tried in the past while I went travelling...

1. Babi Guiling (Bali)

Something like 'Ci cap fan' (All-Parts-of-Pork Rice). Basically, they would serve you with white rice and pork meat, pork skin, pork intestines, pork liver, pork.. (depends on individual shop... the combination are according to their styles) and not forgetting... Sambals!

2. Smelly Taufu (China)

Owh... if you tried before Smelly taufu from TARC college, that is nothing compared to this particular shop infront of the hotel I'm staying at one of the outskirts of Gauangzhou. Instead of using tau fu pok, this uncle use taufu keping to make his smellies. The taufu actually don't taste smelly (like shit) at all, but instead it has the fragance of you know when you over-fried the taufu. I believe that is how expired taufu supposed to smell like.... not the one like shit

3. Tea & Scones (Cameron Highland -BOH Plantation)

I like this place alot. It is so England, you get to enjoy their local made BOH tea and English Scones. Actually, that was the first time I ate scones, and straight away, I fell in love with it! FYI: Having evening tea has never been so pleasant than drinking tea uphill in the mountain surrounded by these tea plantation!

4. Guilin Mee (For the obvious, Guilin, China)

The mee actually has the same pattern as our laksa mee, but way more smoother. Actually when you 1st enter these shops selling their local mee, you may not like it. Cz the pickles are very smelly (to me,at least), it smelt something that is very sourish. The main reason why I love this mee so much is because you are allowed to mix your own combination of the sides. Generally, the chef only prepares the mee and the soup and some meat atop, then, you put your own favourite chilli, pickles and etc. I especially like to add in ground-nuts into it. So authentic, reminds me of the mee suah by hainan people (i think) where they also add in ground nuts and fried seaweed into their mee suah.. MMmmmM Yum!!

-------------------------------------

I guess, thats all for now for me to share... Looking forward what Ah Pang will bring me go try to eat at Redang. Sashimi crab maybe xp

Whatever it is, life is short, live it the fullest...

And now, back to reality check. I have 6 more days to my exam. 5 days to my test. Holy tut~!

Bad Servitude.

As much as I like eating sushi, I hate the service the provide us during promo. They treated us like hungry beggar wanting to eat their sashimiii so much.. Pui! What the fish, you think you're the sushi restaurant in the whole wide Malaysia? Open your eyes la frog.... (kay, just wanna lepas my gas on how unhappy was I just now when I went to Sushi King's Bonanza Promo)

Hey peeps, if you're planning to go there, there's few catch that you may want to take notice about:-

1. You have only 60 minutes to eat
2. You eat whatever they serve
3. You must stand their condescending attitudes towards you
4. Only sushi is priced RM2. (Sushi = rice based food)

Ohkay, thats all for today. I'm gonna study for my MC100 now. I guess I did pretty bad for my previous tests in MC100. 35/60? Oh man, I just lepas pagar. Shit. Worst result ever. Don't worry I won't cry over spilt ocha. I will work hard for the coming test. Dudu~~
